Illumination 

No one switches on the dark
to try and make things black.
You go and switch the light on
even if it's just a crack.

Even the weakest glimmer
will illuminate the way
and very very soon
you'll have a part to play.

If you're a candle in the closet
or a mega shining star
it doesn't really matter,
you're simply what you are.

For any light exposed
illuminates the mind
and it's the only way to get 
to ask and seek and find.

So God wants to use us
and help ensure our glow
is open to the world
that other folks might know.

We know God's love and peace
is shown through love of others
a body lit, united
with family, like brothers.

So with a healthy body
and a healthy mind
and a clear seeing lens
so all can be refined.

We shine that others know Him
standing tall and bright.
Standing in God's righteousness
to show His radiant light.
